Mandawa was founded in the 18th century Manawa skyline today is dominated by an imposing mirage like fort now a heritage hotel.A classic medieval theme with the modern luxuries has maintained this hotel. There is a lot of beautiful types of paintings of Lord Krishna and his cowherds.Mandawa is a small little towm and it is situated in the heart of the Shekhavati region.The Shekhavati region is for famous for the merchants and their products, which they traded. It was in the 18th century that they decided to settle here thus building beautiful havelis and constructing buildings as their dwelling places.

Mandawa Haveli was built in 1896 by Thakur Bhagwat Singhji, the 15th ruler of Mandawa. This feudal principality in the heart of the Shekhawati region was ruled by the clan of Kachhawa Rajputs from the house of Amber.This was the stronghold of Rao Shekhaji, who founded a dynasty here and gave it his name.The wealthy businessmen of the village constructed many havelis and baolis with colored painting adorning their walls.Mandawa is famous for the Havelis and Binsidhar Newatia Haveli is one of them where one can find some curios and paintings like "a boy using a telephone" and "an " europian woman in a car driven by a chauffeur" etc.

By rail: Jhunjhunu is the nearest convenient railhead and one can take trains for Sikar, Jaipur, and Delhi .

By road: Road networks crisscross the entire region of Shekhawati, and buses are also easily available from Mandawa to various places in the region. Taxis are also available if you are in a group of four or five persons.
